In early 2015, two Beavertail trailers were added to the fleet of Rabelink Logistics. The purchase of the innovative trailers, which was the result of our cooperation with partner Kennis Transport & Logistics from Breda, makes it possible for Rabelink to provide a simple and efficient way to transport special mobile machinery (such as lift trucks, cranes and agricultural vehicles).
The special thing about the Beavertail is apparently simple, but in fact extremely inventive: it’s possible to lower the rear part of the loading floor with the aid of a hydraulic system, which can ben handled by the driver himself (wirelessly). The use of ramps leads to a small angle of inclination. That way, we have the option to (with conventional trucks) load and unload machines, for which in the past special transportation was required.
The many years of expertise that Rabelink has in German-speaking countries, was the reason for Kennis to commit a partnership. The logistics services provider from Breda already drove with Beavertail trailers for some time, mainly in France. Kennis then decided ‘to further roll out this innovative transport solution Europe-wide with another country specialist’ and chose Rabelink. Our drivers drive the trailers to (among others) Germany, Switzerland and Austria.
• Transport to 3.00 meters wide
• Transport to 3.55 meters high
• Clean and dry transport
• Fewer empty miles, thus, less CO2 emissions
• Cost efficient due to more opportunities for additional load
• No (un)loading ramp required
• Transportation directly from producer to customer
• Specially trained drivers who load and unload machines themselves
